I have a bass cabinet that does not have a spec label on it, how can I find out if I have an 8 or 4 ohm cab. The person I bought it from thinks it is a 4 ohm but not really sure. I would like to find out as it will determine the rest of my setup. Help Please!!!!!!

Am ohm meter from Radio Shack will set you back about $10. You might even be able to return it when you are done!
Yep- a MULTImeter(volt meter) set it to the Lowest OHMS setting- plug in a speaker lead (with jack plugs)-to the cab- touch one pin of the multimeter to the sleeve of the jack plug of the unplugged end of the spkr lead(thats plugged into the cab), & the other pin to the TIP of the jack plug- the meter will give U an close reading- eg. it might say 3.8 or 4.3 if its a 4 ohm cab-heck it may even say 4 spot on!! same if it's 8 ohm. pm me if need more help-or others will chime in I'm sure!
