Hi there, can you please tell me what I should learn next? I want to make sure my progrsesion is going well and not be stuck in a pleatau. So far, I understand: - Know physical parts of the bass - Basic music theory - Reading tabs - Correct fingering techniques and posture - Understood the 7 major scales, can play them from memory - A few chords I'm using the Wheat's bassbook and Bass for Dummies (a good book BTW!). So what should I learn now after I memorize and can play the major scales and chords? And playing them with ease! More music theory (of course) and what else? I'm not really interested in pop and slap, not my style. Best regards, Ken
There's a good suggestion cloaked in that sarcastic comment. You should learn to actually read music.
Iv been playing for two years and know 3 or 4 of the scales so far but what helped me with the scales is if you know them change the order a bit and just experiment with it. That helped me for a while. Experiment Experiment Experiment
