Hello,
I have a first year white faced Peavey Firebass 700 watt amp that i bought in 1998, which I absolutely love. However, I have noticed that recently when I plug my Peavey 2x10 TVX cabinet into one of the parallel outputs that signal is instantly shut off with a "click" sound. However the other output works fine with no problems.
I am soon adding an Ampeg 15 inch cabinet to my rig and need to get this problem solved. I suspect that it may have something to do with the DDT speaker protection doing its job, which I always keep activated .
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is happening and if this is an easy fix or should I take it to a repairman? I can fix simple stuff but don't want to risk anything serious by attempting it myself.
My set-up is a '76 Fender Jazz into the Firebass with a dbx 266XL compressor through the effects loop. Sounds wonderful for the style I play, blues.
Thanks in advance to all who have time to help me out. Much appreciated.
Cheers...
