Double Bass Help!

Do you play double bass? Do you know what a wolf tone is? Hard to know where to begin, so this may be stuff you know...

A "wolf" tone is a sympathetic vibration that causes a specific pitch (or range of pitches in a chromatic 'neighborhood') to overamplify certain parts of the overtone series. What the eliminator does is dampen that vibration by finding the appropriate spot on the after length (the part between the bridge and the tailpiece) of the string you're having the issue with. You don't have to use any imagination, it's pretty simple physics...
