Hemtoma Settings

Awesome pedal! I pretty much stick with two main settings and then tweak from there.

Nice tubey warmth:
gain at zero
tone between 12 and 2 o'clock
boost off
switch to the bass side (right I think, but I always forget)

Big overdrive:
gain cranked
tone near 4 o'clock
boost cranked
switch to the treble side (again, forget which side)

Tweaking the boost level with the output level can really bring out a lot of tonal variety. Enjoy yours, I've had mine for several months and don't ever see myself getting rid of it!

Congrats!!!
I'm fairly new to the 'pedal lifestyle', but my Hematoma is easily my favorite pedal.

I can't be of too much help as far as settings go, because I still play around with it a lot. But I generally agree with nad about his settings.
Gain at about 10-12:00, tone at about noon, switch flipped to the right(bass side;) ) gives a very nice Kyuss/QOTSA sound.

Enjoy it. I don't see why you won't.

I got one on order right now, actually I should be getting a phone call soon to go pick it up. I wasn't even looking to buy it when I went to the guitar shop, but the guy who was helping me just happened to have his with him that day. I plugged it in and it was love at first listen. He had his modded by the owner of H.B.E., I can't think of his name right now, so his had some very powerful distorition to fuzz sounds.

This wasn't specifically intended to be a Nick Oliveri cop, but I think it shows that the pedal can imitate tube overdrive pretty well. Exact? Well of course not, that's what my Sunn head is for. ;)

Digging up an old thread!

Gain: Had it at about 10 oclock (pointing at the G) for a while, but I like it around 8 oclock (pointin' at the N) for the most part. Nice and compressed, but without a lot of obvious "grit".
Tone: 11 oclock (pointing right at the gain knob)
EQ Shift: Left (more treble) cus it sounds more "open"
Boost: Still not sure where I want it. Max gives too much extra grit, and too big a volume boost with the gain at 8 oclock. Its at 12 noon right now. Also, I use the boost like a separate pedal, off somtimes and on at other times.
