Henrik Linder

So we all were shocked I guess when we discovered Dirty Loops...right?

That's exact the way I love to play Bass and as I am not in a band since 1998 but Henrik definitely convinced me to start playing again and so I picked up my six-strings last X-Mas (2011) and started to to decrypt 5 tracks of them.:hiding:

- Baby
- Circus (with piano/bass solo)
- Just Dance
- Dirty
- Rolling in the deep

I already posted this in the section "recordings" but for those Henrik Lovers, here's the Link and I hope you'll check them out and enjoy it.
Of course it is far from perfect but hey; this is Henrik Linder I am trying to copy.....you all should know how hard that is!

So if you have some minutes left...go check my vids.

Hey Buddy,
Thanks for posting that. You are officially my second favorite Dutch bassist, with Marc van Wageningen being my #1. You are one hell of a player,a "Dutch Master":D
There are not many bassists who can do what you do.And to think you're not even a full time pro, scary!!! I don't know if you write, but if you do,you should really put your own solo CD, I would buy it.
I learned Circus a while ago, I'm going to go over that one again and then see what's next.
You got me inspired.
Thanks!

Thanks for the warm words my friend...
It is good to hear that I inspired you to nail down Circus!
The time will come that I'll register some tracks with my friends and I will share that anyways :)
Thanks & Regards.....:bassist:

I saw Marc Van Wageningen play 30 years ago and he was killing back then!!!!

I've been watching those video's too. Good God!!!! Don't know his age or for how long he's been playing, but it's like.....how do some of these young guys get so good? I mean he's like years ahead of the game. Wood shedding no doubt, but when you're that young and that good I'm sure you're looking at a natural talent as well.

Natural talent, to be sure. But I've discovered that a big part of natural talent is the capacity to completely disregard all the insecurities and inhibitions within you that try to convince you that "I can't do this".

I'm super late to this party....but I was just reading the latest issue of Bass Player and decided to check out a few videos of Dirty Loops.

Wow! Those guys are amazing and Henrik is just a monster! The technical chops are top notch but he also can groove! When I first saw him I thought he would be playing some kind of Avenged Sevenfold stuff that I don't like (based on his appearance) but he certainly surprised me. Incredible musicianship from all three of those guys. I just ordered the CD they recently put out. =)

Dirty Loops has a new fan. lol
