Here we go again ...the devil dog

Here's another DV5 I've just started. This one's going to be dyed red sort of orangy (please God don't let it come out pink!). I nick named it 'the devil dog' (thanks thedonutman, for noticing the similarity!).

I used some poplar for the back and a great curly maple top I had around. It'll probably have a birdseye maple set neck and bubinga fingerboard (still undecided on those, but I want to use the wood I have laying around and get some more). I'm winding a pair of hot wide singlecoils with alnico5 magnets to try and get a big fat sound with singlecoil punch. I'm also putting an audere pre on it. black hardware and matching pickup covers.

This one, I'm gonna keep.

I worked on the neck a bit earlier in the week. I'm still undecided between the bubinga fretboard or birdseye maple. That piece of birdseye maple is tempting me and could very well end up being the 'board.
