I hope its actually as deep as the picture makes it look though. I like it. Really wish it was a better slab of wood though. But, whatever. 150 bucks. Can't complain

She's almost done. One more good sand, and a nice and light top coat. Then...DONE!!!! Finally. Man that one was tough. I still wish I could've left it that red. But, oh well. God knows I loves me some purps.

Oh, she's satin now by the way. Wasnt digging the gloss.

Oh, and coat up the shielding paint again. I had dust in the cavities when I coated it the first time. Haha. Whatever

I'm probably almost as hurt as you that the red didn't work out lol. That was a lovely rustic brown/red color.
I liked your second idea with the black back and sides, too. Unfortunate that didn't work out as you'd planned...

... BUT! The purple looks really good on it. The grain in the Jazz body doesn't let the purple SING like on the P/J, but it has its own character which, IMO, is really nice as well.

Yeah, it looks good. Itll be better when the pickguard and stuff show up too. But, it's more like a purple paint on this wood.
