That's right up there somewhere between giving your left hand to be ambidextrous; or asking a drop-dead gorgeous woman to become celibate. So, no disrespect, but, NO, here's NOT a topic. I am 5 times the bassist I once was. Oh yeah? Let's see some chops. . . .. show you in 5 years.
 
I didn't think it needed clarification but this is a hypothetical situation and an abstract concept. I am in no way implying that it's possible to improve by not playing for 5 years. o_O A few of you seemed bewildered by the scenario and thought this was a real life suggestion. It's a "what if" fantasy.
The vast majority got it. Kudos.

No, because I'm already older than dirt, and even if I have five more years, being old has taught me that's a sucker's bet.
