hi everyone i have been playing for 7 years now and bass wasnt my first choice but after picking one up i have come to love it and find it a important element in musical styles of all kind and just the fact if i cant i can get up and play my bass its the best feelin in the world hearing all the notes come together into a beautiful harmony. and maybe if i had a lesson or two i could actually know the note names lol.

Hello and welcome to TB. Make sure to fill out the section under your profile of what kind of gear you have. If you want to learn how to read music ( standard notation ) get some beginning bass books- Hal Leonard has one that has 3 books in one- you should be able to buzz through it in no time.
