Hey everyone! So, I've been lurking here for a while and figured, it's time to step out of the shadows. I've been playing bass since 2003 and been pretty consistent with it over the years. Starting in 2007, I joined my first band, and have been in some form of a band ever since (I'm 31 years old). Currently in a bar band in CT doing the rock/pop cover thing. I consider myself a mediocre player and a good band "gel" guy. I hope I can add to this group of bass players, but I find my approach to almost everything is very... "whatever works for you". I'm still trying to figure it all out myself.
AnySwayze, on to the stuff you probably really care about... My main stick these days is a Stringray 5 in green sparkle finish. My "never will she leave me bass" is a 2007 Sterling (USA) with blue dawn finish. So obviously I'm a Music Man fan. I also own a 2004 Rickenbacker 4003 in Montezuma Brown (took a lot of missed ebay bids to finally get one in that finish). I have a few other guitars/basses in the mid-tier price range. I play through a SVT 4-Pro and Avatar cabs. I'll post some pics of them later.
When people ask me why I play bass, I always find it so hard to explain the feeling of tension in your fingertips right before you impart energy into that bass string, it just feels so... right. I would imagine if you're reading this, you get it!
