I play in a 50's Rock n Roll trio. Piano, bass and drums. Up until now I've been using my electric 4 string but the band leader kept suggesting I get a double bass. So I've just bought myself a cheap db and all I have to now is figure out how to play it! 
This site looks pretty cool and I'm looking forward to reading all about the finer points of RnR double bass playing. Any suggestions or tips on technique for both left and right hand, pitching etc would be most appreciated. Cheers!
