Hi-Beams E string looks much lighter than others

I recently bought 2 sets of Hi-Beams from Amazon and noticed that the E string color is much lighter than the other 3 string's color (I haven't used them yet). Has anyone seen this before? I've used Hi-Beams for a long time and don't think I've noticed a color difference across strings.

I just found that the B and A strings on a set of fatbeams I installed are considerably darker than than the other 3 strings. However, it does appear that these strings are all fatbeams because they all sound consistent with each other. This must be something happening recently at DR. Anyway, if I could truly hear a tonal difference, this would bother me a lot, but they all sound like the same set to me.
