Hi - been gone a bit, but …

Thank you all so much for the kind words and encouragement… i am truly grateful !
Ok, back at it.
I don’t really have pics of it, but a master electrician friend was kind enough to take a split off the house box and run it to the shop…. Instead of a single extension cable to do EVERYTHING, I now have THREE 20 amp circuits… one for the lights and ceiling receptacles, one that covers two walls and one outdoor receptacle, and another that covers the other two walls and a second outdoor receptacle. All in all now, originally going a single extension cord….. now I have 15 outlets …13 quads inside, for a total of 42 interior outlets, and two duals outside, so 4 exterior ones. Not bad for a 18’ x 20’ shop !!!
Also, here are some exterior pics with the Hardie siding, the rearrangement of doors and windows, etc. BTW, originally it had two crusty and non-functional windows…. Now it has two 3x3 windows that open with screens, three 2x3 non-opening windows, and who small windows (I haven’t measured, maybe 1x2 (?) on the shop garage door… so there’s a LOT more ambient lighting !
My iPhone has been automatically saving photos in HEIC format instead of JPG… it changed it during the last update, and I didn’t realize it. Since this forum doesn’t support HEIC, I have to screenshot each photo I post so that I can upload the screenshot here… so apologies for the “less than great” photos .

So dang cute. They are back with their mama now. I consulted with a raccoon rehab specialist who told me that if I put them in a box “close” to where they were found, the mother would come back for them… and she did !

Moving on….
Since I had the walls insulated, it was time to make things pretty. Osb went up, and then I put up these panels…. It was a HUGE “facelift” for the old worn shop, and definitely helps make it feel like a better place to “create” !
You can see the beat up old concrete slab. It was still safe and no major issues, but had a couple cracks to repair, and needed some resurfacing and leveling. We found a good flooring place that specializes in polyaspartic floor coating, and they came out and fixed the cracks , ground the floor to a more level surface, and then shot the polyaspartic coating. Made a GIGANTIC difference…looks way better, as more level, and easier to keep clean !

The bright color & artwork are nice accents - even blends well with the tree line - & makes the workshop an inviting place.
I also cut all the trim work, window returns, etc and installed them, after Valerie stained them.

I added 65,000 lumens of overhead light. In my opinion, the more light, the better.
I’ve been bringing in the wood and tools, putting them in place. Building tool cabinets for them. Building French cleat storage. Stuff like that….

I’ve also begun to plumb the dust collector. Hoping to work more on that today if I get to feeling better.
Valerie is spending the weekend out at her mothers farm, so I have all weekend “uninterrupted” to make progress….
Ok, so that’s where things currently stand. LOTS of work done, and LOTS of work still to do…but my dream shop is getting closer and closer. If it’s the last thing I do, I’m gonna finish this shop. Juggling health, finances, etc is a challenge and makes for slow going, but is absolutely worth the effort IMO.
I’ll keep updating this thread as I make progress !

It reminds me of one of Dave’s comments about a guitar he was repairing. “Someone was frolicking about in the wiring.”

Did you get the electrical sorted? Had a place that had a panel that looked a bit like that, maybe worse. It was a relief to replace it.
