I'm another Matt and I've been lurking since highschool, back in 2000-ish when y'all helped me decide on a mapleboard stingray and an SS Ampeg. I've since done a ton of lurking around hear as I really didn't have much to contribute and had a ton of learning to do (the situation really hasn't changed much
. Some of what I'd gleaned from the words of the wise posters here found itself incorporated into a few guitars, basses and guitbasses that I'd built back when I'd had regular access to a woodshop.
I played/partied/toured on guitar, bass and keys with a revolvin door of jammy kids "fulltime" for the years immediately following highschool and came back home to take care of family and get my degrees. Not having been onstage in four years has been KILLING me, combined with falling into a job selling, fixing, hot-rodding and teaching guitar at one of the few independent shops left in town has got me jonesing HARD to quit only recording and get out and slug out some shows!
