Hi all! First of all, I'm not good in with presentations and english is not my first language so... yeah, what could go wrong?
I started bass (with a very very very cheap Harley Benton that sounds incredibly good, and I'm not joking! I only changed the strings and
) some years ago but never achieved a good level: I worked a lot at that time. One day I had to move from one country to another with only a suitcase and I couldn't take my bass with me.
And now with the coronavirus I've started to really miss my bass so I've decided to buy a new one (my bass is at my family's house and the idea of it being broken by the post service terrifies me
). I've found this forum looking for chinese homages to Rickenbacker
but all the info that I've seen is the same thing: "if you buy one, is a total lotery. You can receive one that is ready to be played, and you can receive one that needs 200€ to be simply decent", so I'm not very optimistic at the moment. Well, I'll keep looking... but frankly, the bass I talked about before cost me € 109, I don't want to pay € 400 and risk getting a nice piece of wood and little else.
And I think that's all. Summary: I'm a spaniard, I live in France and I want to re-start playing bass. Hi!
