I've already gleaned loads of useful info from the forum, and I'm sure I'll get plenty more. I've been playing the fiddle for the last 20 years but have always fancied having a go at the bass. So about a month ago in my hospital bed, listening to some cracking bass on my ipod, I promised myself that when I got out of there I would go out and get a bass - and thats what I did. SDo here I am now trying to get used to these huge strings and a bass clef, and looking forward to the day when I am good enough to play live.
I feel humbled to be in the prescence of so many experts.
