I wanna say hi to everyone as a new member of TalkBass from Turkey. My name is Gokhan. I hope this forum and your experiences will be of great help to me during my bass studies process.
As for my musical background, I had played classical guitar for sometime, then took up electric guitar and played some rock. But, frankly speaking I have never gone deeper in neither of them. Finally I sold all my equipment and stayed far away from any instrument for a few years (not that I did lost my interest in music but out of some other reasons). A month ago, I bought a bass guitar and an amp. Have been playing songs of my favorite rock bands just for fun and trying to get accustomed to my new instrument. But I dont wanna play only or mainly rock/metal. Now I wanna take it seriously and get better as possible as I can. In the meantime, I ll surely consult your advices and experiences.
