Hi troop, I'm dadabass

Been hanging around lurking for a couple of years and finally decided to post a hello. I played bass from high school (late 60's) on. I basically quit in 1979 to get married and raise a family, then started again in 1995. I'm self-taught and play a '73 Guild Starfire (factory stereo with natural finish-converted to fretless), a '98 Alembic Epic fretted (walnut), a '99 Alembic Epic fretless (maple) and an '81 Alembic Distillate (koa).

I play with a couple of original rock bands near Chicago, Pickled BEATS and the Noah Gabriel Band. I also did a couple of years in a Grateful Dead cover band called Ragweed, and have been known for showing up at an open mic on occasion.
