Hi

Hi, Signed up maybe a week ago and posted a general enquiry about Rob Allen or Kinal basses. I guess it's time for a proper intro.

Just got back into picking a bass and guitar up after quite a few years of them gathering dust. Bass is my first love but I feel I have too many guitars and bits hanging round.

I have an Ernie ball USA sterling and an Ibanez sr300 in bright yellow. Also playing an Alvarez msb1 acoustic which is tiny and an Aquila Shortbass one 14 which isn't much bigger and fretless. As well as these I have 7 or 8 guitars.

I only play at home these days mostly unplugged so I'm going to use this time to try and decide whether to sell some electric stuff and buy a nice acoustic-ish bass.

Hence the interest in Rob Allen and Kinal basses though I've just become aware of Veillette also. I can't afford any of them new but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for pre-owned stuff. Any alternatives or advice you guys could give would be welcome.

Really enjoying catching up with all things bass, this may lead to me buying more gear rather than down sizing.

Good to be aboard.

Cheers, Andy.
