hidden gems: underrated amps/cabs!

I really happy with this USA peavey millenium plus bass I got, which I probably would not have considered if I didn't get some positive reviews from talkbassers and seen a country player kick some butt with one. Plus the price is right which helps!

Now I want to hear about some underappreciated stuff on the the amplification side of things as the preamp section on my GK700RB has just gone to preamp heaven.

i think the ampeg b2r is a really good head and you can get it for $250 in most cases. cant go wrong as a starter head or just a cheep alturnative

I just downsized to an Ampeg SVT 350H, and I love it. I think the tone is great, and they're pretty cheap too.

FENDER BASSMAN 300 PRO !!! ALL TUBE(6x6550's power) cheaper& (a bit lighter) than SVT & mesa 400+, more versatile too- 2 channels-blendable= lotsa drive options-all tube drive too=luvly!!!!!! Switchable 8/4/2 ohms means I can use it with any or all of my cabs(a 2x10", a 1x15", a 4x10") sounds AMAZING with the 4x10 & even more so with the 1x15 under as well!!!!!!! I cannot praise it enough!!!!!!!

I agree with the B2R. I've outgrown it, but it's is a very capable and showworthy amp for the prices it fetches used.

Ampeg SVT-II, amazing 300 watt all tube amplifier, and outside of TB it doesnt seem to have many people who are interested.
