Hide the pots/knobs?

I do this on most of the basses I build:

Which knuckle hits the knob? Maybe adjust you're slap technique?

Pinky knuckle. You're right. I do need to undo some bad habits. I have been trying to tighten up my technique; economy of motion. It's still feels very unnatural.

I really dig that. Very cool. That's a real beauty too. Is that walnut? What pup is that?

I actually have all 3 pots running again. Glad i had a photo to work from. I tried getting just the tone and master volume working, but no luck, got frustrated. It was still worth it to experiment. I feel much more comfortable fiddling with the components. I might shoot for just the tone and volume again.

I ordered some .047 and .022 caps. Hoping to get a bassier tone with volume closer to full on. I have to lower the volume 50 to 60% to tame the highs -to my ear. Maybe these sadowsky's are just naturally bright as well. I guess.
