Double Bass high B flat string at 35" scale?

I searched but couldn't find any info on this....

I'm considering different stringing options on my very experimental 7 string EUB that i'm building, which will have a 35" scale. I know a high F is fine, even on longer scales, usually a .024" string or so is used. But can you do a B flat a fourth higher? Using the string calculators online i calculated a .015" string would be at about 40lbs tension which matches the other strings, and its minimum breaking strength is 60lbs, so going by those numbers it should be fine. Anyone have real experience with a high B flat string?
 
Don't forget that by plucking the string the tension rises.

And at 35" that is closer to a bass guitar string length than a double bass string length, so you might get better responses on the bass guitar side.
And with 7 strings you are hardly able to bow due to the small bowing angle, so nothing helpful from the double bass side for bowing.

Last but not least, diameters are not really that helpful because of string construction and material. Mass per length unit is relevant to calculate tension.
Even steel core strings can differ because of nickel or plain steel windings which differ in mass per volume unit. And the core is usually always the same in diameter and material, but the winding mass differs for every string.
Your calculation might get you more or less close to what you are seeking for, but not that close as you may think.

It was a plain steel .015 i was referring to (don't imagine they make a wrapped 15) and yes, i used the unit mass in the calculation. And my bass will be played in an unusual way, always doing double-(or triple-)stops, not single string bowing. Weird, i know.... Anyway i'll try the 15, maybe a 14, a 16.... and post the results.
