High-end basses

Have a look at what the bass specialty stores are carrying (Bass Central, etc...) then look up those brands and see where their dealers are. Find the brands that are under-represented in your area and you'll have an exclusive, of sorts.

You'll have to be wary and smart about this. How much can you afford to have sitting there for possibly a long while? That ties up a lot of money that will not be paying the bills. What sort of buying (not looking) traffic do you usually get on any given day? What do they talk about?

You will have to define what you can safely say is "high end" to your area.

Then again you could maybe do better with low to high-mid prices, everything from very nice Ibanez GSR basses to,say, a Geddy Lee Jazz bass. Have a few mid-price Washburns and Peaveys. Write to the really high end companies and request posters. Let your customers know you can arrange to get them. A little safer for you I'd think in this economy.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck.
