I've been googling, and TBing like a mad man recently trying to figure out what kind of high quality head what suit me best. im looking for a warm, smooth, and punchy kind of dirk lance / incubus sound. I have a Bergantino NV-610. I've been looking into the Eden WT1205 and the Orange AD-200 but are there any others i should consider for the sound i want? aguilars?

+1. Tho the ORange AD200B is a real beauty!! esp. into a NV610. But I'd probly try & find an OLDER SVT(70's-early 80's)/SVTII(89-92)
i was looking at the genz benz gbe1200 as well, the orange or svt would give me an incubus eske warm sound?
im asking all of this because its hard to come across these around here...i mean theres a place like 25 miles ish away but im trying to avoid that until i make a decision on a few different amps

I have to drive 250 miles minimum to get to a real music store? 25 miles? Pack it up and go audition some amps! You can't make any decision till you hear them.
25 miles is nothing when you're going to drop a couple grand on a head. Don't rule out amps to try before you go. Just play them all. Who knows? Maybe you'll like a $200 head the best. Eh, probably not, but you know what I mean.

I went on a demo spree to a bunch of "area" (within 50 miles) music stores. Tried out a bunch of stuff I had only read about. Was prepared to be blown away - but I wasn't. In fact, I downright disliked a LOT of things I tried out - even ones that are highly regarded on this forum.
I was prepared to drop some coin on a new rig - but in the end, was much happier with a setup I already had at home!

a 30 minute drive is well worth it when you are trying to figure out what kind of amp you want and said amps are pretty spendy...
