Double Bass High Solo Tuning

Hey all,

For high-solo tuning (Bb - F - C - G) is it safe to just tune regular solo strings up a half step? Or are there specific sets just for this?

I noticed this in Bottesini's Carnival of Venice. I have regular solos on but I am curious on how it'll sound that high!

Thanks all

It might feel really stiff in the left hand, but it should probably be okay to tune regular solo strings up a half step.

You could also tune Spirocore Stark ADG down to GCF and any number of high-tension high C strings (the Evah Pirazzi and Flat-Chromesteel being highest tension upon a cursory glance) down to B-flat. It might feel a little loose though.
