hilarious but terrible

Ya know I can't really remember what happened to the spuds but I think the sight of a cooked thumb on the platter kind of killed everybody's appetite. Further to the story, as soon as I got rid of the platter, I slammed my thumb down into somebody's drink on the next table. We knew them so it didn't start any fights but all I could think of was to cool the thing down. Seems it took forever to heal, always on the verge of getting infected.

i was at tom brown's tracker camp. tom brown is one of the biggest ****ing cockbags i've ever met, and i was pissed off and jammed my knife into some wood. my hand slips down over the blade and i sever the tendon in my right pinky. still can't bend or straighten the last knuckle. if you, reader, ever come across him in the woods while you're hunting, shoot him in the dick.

One day when my band was at the beach playing in the water like every band should do, our guitarist managed to put his hand into a sharp rock or shell that was hidden in very shallow water. It split his hand open the entire width of his palm. He got 20 or so stitches and still managed to play shows with a funny looking bandage wrapped around his hand. Luckily, same as in the original post, this was just his strumming hand.

In my drumming days back way before my current bassing days, I fractured my neck but still played a show while wearing a huge hilarious looking neck brace. Don't think they wheeled me from the hospital to the show or anything. It was after a month of healing ;). All in all a horrible idea but it didn't seem like it at the time.

I also played a show on drums with a cast on my left hand. That was a painful experience to say the least but it was a well paying gig

Hand injuries suck. I burned the living heck out of my hand with hot vegetable oil about 2 weeks ago. The power went out while my parents were frying on the stove...well they never turned they stove off. Flash forward to 4am when I wake up to a house full of smoke. The pot was in flames on the stove and we had no baking soda. I grabbed a pot holder and tried to get the flaming pot outside.

Sorry about that man. Burn injuries suck.

Now, where the baking soda thing came from, I'll never know.
Maybe if you had like a 10lb bag or something?

For future reference or to anyone else reading this:
You put out a grease fire with a LID... or a pie plate... or a cookie sheet. Goes out real quick. Lots of folks burn their house down by trying to carry it outside, or blow it everywhere with a fire extinguisher.
