I just received a hipshot bt1 from a fellow tber, while waiting for him to reply I thought I'd see what info I can gather. The bt 1, is supposed to fit g n l and mm basses.
I installed the hipshot with no problem. All the holes fit fine, but it is only after installation I realized that the new tuning peg is much more longer than the rest. My friend has a hipshot on his ray and it certainly is not like that. Also, another thing is that the threads of the tuner is in reverse. As in I have to turn it in opposite direction as the rest I the tuners to tighten or loosen the strings.
This is the first time I've had issues w hipshot detuners, I've had it on my other basses. My ray is a 2011 model
