Wow!! How does the 215 sound on its own? Is it too dark to be used without another brighter cab? I ask because I want one really bad, and was thinking of buying a Hi-tone 215 remake/reissue but it comes loaded with LF style drivers and I'm a little iffy about that.

A guy in a local Who trib bought my Sunn Coliseum Bass amp and 1x18 Sunn speaker, so he could piece together Entwistle’s rig from ~1972. I think he eventually did it, but personally I’d be just as happy with Hiwatts.

It's a great sounding cabinet , I often use it on its own it has a open baffle on the back. it's a big full sounding cabinet, you won't get the punch of tens or the snap of a tweeter with it but it does just fine on it's own. The more you push it the better it sounds.
