HLS - Hellborg Lane Sipe enthusiasts

I was reviewing an old Oct'95 show Hellborg and Lane did with Kofi Baker last night and it inspired me to hunt down a couple of pictures of the bass from that era which I once owned. It's a tiny bass (kind of reminded me of the Washburn Nuno guitar), but it sounds fantastic. The four 9V batteries gave it plenty of headroom for sure! In the end however, I was getting similar tones out of my modded G&L and the real estate for the techniques I generally use just wasn't available on the Jonas.

Thought I'd share some shots since there seems to be very few of them out there in the cybersphere...

I really like Jonas and would love to see some transcriptions/tab (boo hiss!) for his chordal work. I know he did a book on bass chords but to help learn how to apply them some examples would be great. I have The Word which is rally interesting, but the more straight up fusion stuff (relatively speaking) doesn't interest m as much.

Sometimes though I do wonder: justbuy an acoustic guitar and play that! :
