Hofner 63 relic is not sounding good after setup

Just to add to this; I played around with the pickup height. The one in that pic is too high by my experience.

you need to drop it back a bit and adjust the neck pickup so they have even output when soloed.
I think at least part of your problem lies here.

i pushed the bridge pickup down , and it still sounding Metallic . Now the volume output seems to be lower also ? So the bass loses volume by pushing the pick ups down ?!!!

You raise the bridge, you raise the action. If the action is ok for you, you should drop that pickup some.

by raising the bridge , is the intonation going to be off ?

the tech said the the neck was too straight , so he had to twist the trust ride to give it a slight bow… was he correct or he was just full it it ?

also , what should I do about the strap button ? It s bothering me a lot . Would it bother you guys if the strap button was not exactly in the center ?

Not noticeably so. The bridge/intonation on a Hofner is relatively imprecise to begin with.

...and yes, it's quite easy to end up with a backbowed neck on a Hofner. So if it was too straight it may have needed an eighth of a turn, at least. That's not a sign of a problem.

Wow I wish I could help more but just going back and forth like this is tough, especially not knowing how the setup is. Yes you will lose some output by lowering the pickups since they will be further from the strings. Rasing the bridge just to get the strings further from the pickup is not the way to go. The pickups are the last thing you want to adjust after you get the setup... strings in relation to the fretboard set to the right height, neck relief and intonation, after that, adjusting the pickup height. Hmm, what else... intonation is definitely touchy with the floating bridge but not impossible and basically, a setup should be to "your" liking, none of this stuff is written in stone and not rocket science, it's all preference. You might have to find someone that works with you on this Hofner.

Yes, volume will be lower with pickup lowered.
Not sure what you mean exactly by metallic sound, maybe if you can record the audio it would help.
