IMG_0135.JPG Anybody play one? If so, what are your impressions sound/playability/quality wise?

This is the newly released CT long scale I'm asking about and not the older 500/8 BZ which is a heck of a cool bass in its own right.

is this Hofner's first and only 34" scale bass? It has me very interested at least.

Bumping to see if there's any hands on hoffie exp out there.

They certainly look and sound great. There's another thread here: Hofner Verythin LONG SCALE bass?
    And a demo:

If my 500/1 is any indication, the CT basses are very nice.

Ahh thanks! i didn't see that thread on a search I did yesterday.

Seems like very limited quantities have been distributed, so I'm not surprised there isn't much hands on experience out there. Only 2 US sellers have it offered that I can see.

I'm thinking about a road trip to Chicago Music Exchange to play the one they have... and of course drool all over the floor due to their other inventory.

I own one, its a very cool modern sounding bass but with the vintage look!
