This was helpful! ...Thanks!I use the Labella light gauge flats for Beatle bass. They play well, are very smooth, and sound fine on my Ignition and on my 500/1 CT basses. Many Hofner players use them. They fit perfectly in Hofner's tiny tuners and in their tailpieces. Just from reading threads over the years, I believe most people prefer the light gauge.
I know for a fact, that for a while, McCartney used the light gauge. Now he's back to using Pyramid Gold flat short scale.
