Hold your bass pretty low?

I used to wear my pretty low. Over the years I find my self wearing it higher and higher. Also has to do with my playing style. As I changed form overhand style using 2 or 3 fingers to pick, to more of a Spider or crab style, using my thumb and 3 fingers, the bass also got a little higher.

...then again it could just be my age. Keeping my bass above my belt buckle is getting more difficult as the decades pass!

I can usually tell how good someone is by where there bass is when they put it on..
The higher the Bass the better the bassplayer...
They're are of course exceptions, but I find this to hold fairly true...

I generally practice sitting down; so when I play live, I want my bass in the same position on my body. That way it feels the same. If I stand up, the bass is at the same position. That's just the way I do it.

Me too. That's why I hate trying to play it really high because then my right hand has to bend a lot.

FWIW, I watched "An Ox's Tale", the movie about John Entwhistle and Pete Townshend said the reason they hired JE was because he didn't wear his bass really high like everyone else was at the time. I thought that was hilarious.
