Blue Moon Cafe. The smallest restuarant ive ever been in, but man the food there is outstanding. They only serve breakfast and actually appeared on The Food Network, on the show Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. I think theres like 10 tables total in the joint, and on weekends expect to wait up to an hour sometimes. It's worth it though. Huevos Ranchero that will rock your world and Cap'n Crunch French Toast that is amazing. Mmmmmmm!

The best taquerias I've ever eaten at were all built into the side of gas stations in northern California. I'll take 4 $1 carne asada tacos and a large horchata please.

The best taqueria I ever knew of was built in an old gas station across from my high school, back in the day...nothing but Zeppelin, Sabbath and Deep Purple on the jukebox, and the best taquitos and guacamole I've ever eaten.
I risked leaving my closed campus every day for that good stuff...police used to make regular truant roundups, but they always left me alone, for some reason...

Indianapolis, IN: Big Mama's House of Soul Food, 'nuff said, baked tomatoes and chicken, mmm
Raleigh, NC: Char Grill or Mo-Joe's, both great burger joints with different things to offer.
Wailuku, HI: Da Kitchen, get the Kailua Pork and ask for teriyaki on the rice
Houston, TX: Korean BBQ up on El Dorado in the Clear Lake area, bbq shortribs or spicy cuttlefish and lots of kim chi

+1000 you should check out long island.

I'm a big fan of All-American [burgers], it's been on a bunch of shows, and it's been around for like 50+ years.

Absolute favorite: My Hero, a sandwich joint 20 mins from my house. You really can't beat a giant hero drowned in "the works" (olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, onions).

The Artists Cafe in my town.

Just outside of the college campus, they make great soup. Its 16 dollars, but its good. They're really expensive but the food is worth it.

Dominion Brewery in Ashburn, VA has a PUB in it with great food.

Very out of the way to get to but a great time.

Wags in Frederick, MD has a killer Reuben.

A place here where I live called Sam's Cafe. 3.75 buys you 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of sausage. AWESOME breakfast because they cook the pancakes with butter, and they are usually crispy on the edges. So tasty!
