Hollow Body Bass Roecommendation

My Epiphone Jack Casady Signature bass has a nut width similar to a P bass but a different profile.
Lakland was my first thought too... Skylines can be had for under $1000 (not sure if that’s breaking the bank?).
What exactly do you mean with “neck similar to a P bass”? Nut width? Or also scale, taper, etc?
Many HoBos are short scale and while some have a wide neck at nut, many seem to be narrower at the bridge, which I don’t like (except it doesn’t seem to bother me on a Hofner for some reason).
Another contender might be DiPinto Belvedere. Neck seems fairly “fenderish”, tho I think it’s more like a J neck.
And then there’s Warwick Sklar Bass, tho it also has more like a J neck. The cheaper version (Rockbass) was announced, but haven’t seen much else, so I’m not sure if they’re available.
Oh, and I almost forgot Yamaha Bex4. Its neck I think is somewhere between P and J. Seems to be hard to find...

I bought a '66 Gibson EB-2 a few years ago, unhooked the choke and the thing thumps all up and down the neck and has a very warm tone, not sure what you consider to be breaking the bank but this cost me 1600 bucks and was well worth it, has a great neck very similar to a P bass, I believe the nut is 1 11/16ths and is not real shallow and it doesn't feel like you're playing a short scale bass because of the way it's constructed, it probably weighs about 9 lbs and feels like you have a real bass in your hands, very solid feel for a semi-hollow bass.

Mostly concerned with nut width and neck profile. A jazz type profile definitely won’t work for me . I can’t use a short scale either. My challenge is with music stores closed and while the mail chains take returns, I’m trying to get it right on the first shot 
Just checked the nut width is 1.60”. So it’s in the p bass ballpark. From what i remember of mine,it was substantial,but not too clubby.
I had tried quite a few hollowbody basses out,but the lakland stood out for its very comfortable Contoured body,solid single point bridge,and the great clarity of the notes/sound. I had one of the first run, which had the bartolini pickups instead of the chi-sonics,but I’ve read the chisonics are great sounding too.

Gibson Midtown Bass. They usually change hands at around $1K, at least they did in pre-covid times.

After owning a few hollow body basses the only one I could recommend would be the Gibson Midtown. Set up with flats, the thing is unstoppable.
