so im looking for a back up bass. i head in to the music store just to look around. i find the left handed basses. there was a MIM J bass and then a Squier 1970s Vintage Modified Jazz Bass. so i played the MIM for a bit, it was okay but nothing exciting. so any way i tried the squier and it was sweet~! really surprising. it has a sweet neck on it and played better than the MIM bass. the neck felt and played really nice. and it was a very good lookin bass! i think i have found my back up bass. and it's only 329$

That's $30 more than the going rate at any number of other places, unless they charge more for left-handed models.

Most left handed do cost between $20-50 more at least. That's why a lot of lefties learn to play right handed basses, easier on the wallet and more of a selection.
