Double Bass home build - string recommendations needed

Hi all, i'm building my own EUB and i'm interested on your recommendations for strings, this bass will have a single magnetic pickup by the fingerboard, so i will need strings with a steel core, scale length i'm yet to decide but it will probably be about 40 inches.

Most bass strings are made of steel and or nickel and or tungsten so you can use about any of them.
Just stay aways of strings with synthetic cores or synthetic wappings as they'll have less metallic content.

Pirastro Jazzer strings. I know they are expensive but once you've tried quality you won't go back. For string stop I recommend either 40 1/2" minimum or 1050millimetres (about 41 3/8") or 42". Good luck. Tuneless Wonder
