I just set up a new Gibson EB bass I received yesterday and put a new pick guard on my J bass this morning so I know where you're coming from. Always messing with something. Hell I barely got him down from $35 nah I didn't mind giving him 3 dime notes. Like i said, I saw a cheap a$$ v and I ran with it lol.

Pretty sure thesearen't dimarzios lol. The wiring is kinda janky looking. And they just feel...... cheap. The bridge is HEFTY. Im gonna pull the saddles off and clean it all up real good. Polish the brass and clean the springs and screws up good. Maybe paint the plate black or something.

Frets are pulled. Now its time for some white binding to fill the slots, a good sanding and some epoxy. Yea yea I know fret markers are a NO but its been 15 years since I've played fretless lol. Sue me

Also I need some opinions. Black, white, or cream pickups? Im leaning toward white (just like the different look) but if I black out all the hardware then that would stand out too much.

Pickups, nut and electronics are ordered. I got a cheap set of Dragon fire white pickups from eBay. 12.99.

After the bridge saddles are cleaned up and the bridge plate with a coat of black engine paint.

Fully assembled after the adjustment screws and springs took a 3 hour acid bath. as u can see its a huge change from when i pulled it
