...I should probably point out that I have the EQ of a kindergartener, so that's a factor, too.
This is simply sublime.

My understanding is that .2 % is not considered statistically significant.
I'd say you don't understand statistics.
Please educate me then.

+1.
I've never had an EQ test, but am willing to give it a shot. I'm most likely mid-scooped.![]()
Statistical significance relates to confidence limits, not frequencies.
The fact is that some people do not fall into the biological definition of what makes us male or female. That doesn't necessarily correlate completely (or even nearly completely) with the incidence of transgenderism, but it's something to think about.
If 'female' = XX and 'male' = XY, what does that make people who are XXX, XXY, X, XXXY or mixtures of XX and XY?
Does it come down to the anatomy they are born with? What about those with ambiguous anatomy?
All that said XX still cannot become XY.
If someone stuck you in a dress and put makeup on you, it wouldn't change your gender either, but you'd sure FEEL like less of a man![]()
I feel that most sex changes don't really "change" anything at all gender-wise as well, but I can definitely understand that some will FEEL more "right" with an anatomy that looks different than what they are born with.
But all the individual has is a "feeling" about what it would be like to be the other sex. And feelings have little bearing on reality. Why is it that society worries when someone fancies himself to be Napoleon, but when Ralph claims to be Rebecka, society doesn't bat an eye?
I actually meant this, (shoulda put EI, I'm running on painkillers and caffeine) but I'd probably be quite harsh & trebly.
