Though it sounds like it shouldn't be any good, Exorcist III scared me silly.

I had a bad case of insomnia during a storm at my creepy place in San Francisco, and it came on TV at 4AM one Saturday morning. Some scary moments in an otherwise slow film.

Anything japanese, if you're less into slashers:

The Ju-On series, Dark Water, Tokyo Psycho, Infected, Ju-Rei, etc.

Also, I am partial to the Nightmare On Elm Street series.
