Hotone? Which?

Loving the thunder bass . Sits on top of a PJB C2 as my permanent practice amp . I have big toys to play out with , but have a huge soft spot for the little Hotone . It definatley is not a little novelty item . A load of folk seem to get off on dissing inexpensive gear without actually owning or even listening to it . I love my PJB stuff and Markbass gear but use the Hotone within its design limits and it is a great thing .

My home practice amp as well. I find it plenty loud enough to fill a small room in the house with my 1x12 cabs or solid as a headphone amp.

Hotone is IMHO the best amp/effect maker in China. The amp should sound good, but not much louder than the 5W power section of an SWR preamp. Maybe get a power amp with it for gigs?

I thought about this but it’s 100v for Japan , I wonder if your juicing yours up with some more power this way and how safe it is?

It's really the same. 50-60 Hz, 100-120 V. Gigged it tonight. Works great!

Bought mine originally to use as a preamp with a home built class D power amp . Straight out from the FX loop into the power amp . Gave a great tone and full EQ .

To further elaborate - The AC line specs on the back panel state "100-120V, 50-60 Hz". All good!

A small cabinet with a 6" driver and a TDA8932 class D board bought from ebay . A homebuilt JFET buffer and all powered by a 18V drill battery . 2Ah battery lasts about 8 hours . Use it when away from the connected world .

Is the JFET buffer for noise or what does it do?

Buffer was to raise the input impedance from the Amplifier board from 20k ohms to about 10g ohms . The amp is occasionally used with a passive piezo instrument .

Quick correction , buffer input impedance is 10M ohms .
