n'm currently apparently due for a project again, because I just started thinking "How would I do that if I just started gathering parts? Hmmm..."

Clearly this is dangerous.

So I saw a picture of a "Rutherford" Double neck. This is a Rickenbacker or close approximation of one (I think he started with a 360/12 and a 4003.) Configured into a double neck with the rare feature of the 12-string being on top.Usually, for reasons that escape me, the bass gets put on top.

Now I love the sound, look and general vibe of a Ric 12. But I can't play one. They are far too narrow for my orangutan hands. But thenI started thinking of a Strat over Geddy Jazz double neck that I saw guy make once. I remember Strat XII's from back in the late '80's. One of those with an extra wide nut would be awesome. But I don't want it over a regular Jazz neck. I have gotten so used to my Lakland 55-02d that that's what I'd want it to feel like.

So does anyone make a commercially available five string bass neck with a 35" scale and full width string spacing?

Carvin makes a neck through 5 neck and you can request 35" scale and wide fretboard.

Do you mean a low (or no) tapered neck width, more in line with a classical guitar neck?

Indeed it would be. My point was you had nut and bridge backwards. In other words, it should be 19mm at the nut.

I couldn't use it on a 5 or 6 string.

I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. I was simply commenting that you said 19mm bridge, and 47mm nut, which would be a backwards taper of epic proportions

19mm bridge is string to string 47mm nut is B string to G string, he said it right

The bass in my profile pic is my custom Warwick Thumb NT 5 broadneck. Their broadneck models have 20mm spacing at the bridge. I believe the Streamer Stage I comes standard with the broadneck option. Just tossing that out there to ya.
