How Anal are you with your rig?

naww my stuff is utilitarian , I do just enough to keep it in top running condition , but i couldnt be bothered to doll it up like a princess, I prefer to spend my time using it.
oh BTB armorall is probably the worst thing you could apply to the tolex, it will start to crack after a while due to the chemical penetration and the material shrinkage it causes ( just ask any old car guy what happens to dashboards and door panels after a while with armorall)

From time to time, I wipe away smudges, fingerprints and dust. Most of the time, instruments are in stands, not in cases. My wife is super anal about gear, (she's had some of her stuff since the early eighties, all in perfect, working condition, and all blemishes were caused by someone else, and she'll tell you every story, including what she did for revenge, which was never pretty,) and so she influences me to pack gear very carefully when we load and set up gigs. I am a good daddy to any instrument I own, and would never neglect or abuse anything, but I am not obsessive about it at all.
