How are Jeff Berlin's Bass Mastery PDF books?

I've studied these concepts with a private teacher who is more of a Joe Hubbard style teacher, but I'm wondering if it would be worth while to also get these books. I figure it can be worth learning things in multiple ways, and I don't read a whole lot of sheet music these days. Any thoughts or experiences?

These are the ones I'm thinking of:

Online Book 3: Etudes Written in Various Chord Types

Online Book 4: Ascending and Descending Chord Tone Lines

Online Book 5: Approach Note Examples based on Various Chord Types

In short - excellent! Jeff is running a Black Thingy sale these days, so they come for something like $19.99 or so... With your teacher they might fit in just fine, too. As the matter of fact, maybe you could ask him/her about which one to go for.
