How did you come up with a name for your Pet

My dogs name is Harpo. We got it form the Marx Bros. Movies. His "real" name is "Keswicks Day at the Races", Keswicks is the breeder. We thought of this because being from Louisville KY, theres are are lot of Horse racing, so we thought A Day At The Races would be cool, so my dad says lets call him "Harpo" which is the actor in the movie "A Day at the Races". So thats how we got it.

I've got a question for you guys. My parents are about to get a new cat and my father wants to name it Gibson. He's pretty stuck on that name, but I'm protesting because he once had a cat named Gibson who was killed by a car. I think it's kind of morbid to name the new cat Gibson, but he really likes the name.

What do you guys think?

You should name it Warwick.

I named my German Shepard "Mystic", not sure why I chose it. Might have had something to do with how dark her fur was. She was black all over with only a little brown on her paws and on her face.

I named my Siamese/Himalayan cat "Deimos", after one of Mars' moons. It also means "terror" in Greek.

If I get another cat he/she will most certainly be named "Phobos", Mars' other moon. This also means "fear" in Greek.
