How do I cancel membership?

Unforntunately I must cancel my monthly recurring membership payments for a while. I have tried the appropriate button for this, but it just dumps me onto paypal's website. I have also tried twice messaging the help desk here on TB for advice, but have received no response.

I want to keep my profile, I just can't afford the membership at this time. Any tips?

Hi,
The unsubscribe button takes you to paypal website because that's where it must be cancelled, we don't have the authority to cancel a subscription on your behalf.

Logon to paypal, click on the Profile link (gears icon), then under 'Payment settings' click 'Preapproved payments'. Then find the entry for your TB membership and click on it to open it up, then use the cancel link there to stop the subscription.

Also, I see we received two requests from you at the help desk as follows. Both were answered.

Received: 2nd May, 6pm. Response sent 3rd May, 10:52am
Received:8th May, 9:28pm. Response sent 8th May 11:37pm

Please check your spam folders, or maybe your email address on file with TB is no longer one you use.

MODS! I've tried twice to be a productive part of this community.. Was wanting to financially support.. However, what I've run into here is argumentative prodding children. I want nothing to do with this site.. It is not representative of how actual professional people and players act.. And it sends me to their depths every time.. I get no back up from mods I get nothing but arguing FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUING! So, as a player who's fortunate enough to be working at the highest level..I don't need this! Very infantile conversations and arguments designed to poke and prod an argument.. Not a well modded site.. So you and the B-team can talk in your echo chamber! I'm out! And I'm one of many who share this feeling about this site as I was warn to "take my blood pressure pills before logging in." Not a good testimony for this site.. I'm sure you all don't care and I'm venting for my own sake-but it feels good to leave this craziness and not be tempted to return.. This site and actual bass players in the field working for a living in Austin, NY, Atlanta, Nashville and LA-IN THE BUSINESS..this site has nothing for you. This is not that kind of site.. It's more for the weekend warrior and bedroom shredder.. And these people will argue your face off and eventually push you over the edge at which point the mods come on and castigate you-the experienced player.. If you're a veteran player beware.. Or just do yourself a favor and get the hell out of here..

Yeah they just issued a whatever on me because I expressed my anger at the ridiculousness.. The Mods are worse than the posters.. Sounds like you've dealt with this.. Thanks again man..they're literall being jackasses!

I didn't issue anything! I just closed the thread to clean up the off topic stuff...meaning the stuff not about the Fender bass. I'm not on the forum all the time to catch arguments early.

I'm pretty sure that one is given out for making so many posts. There is a way to display your awards and what they mean but I do not remember how.

This is not my first run in here.. And I'm not the on,y one who feels this way on this forum.. The trick is to ignore you people and find mine..

Part of growing and maturing is learning how to argue but remain friends. We won't always agree on everything. There's no need to get angry. Just be glad to be able to express your opinion and contemplate others opinions. That is what forums are for IMO.

Heh, I worked with a guy who used to talk to himself out loud a lot. He started swearing and stuff, so I asked him

"Hey, Q! Are you arguing with yourself again?"

I never seem to have these issues, though I do happily utilize the ignore function. Perhaps there is a connection.

So far that's been the case.. But, you have been here longer so youre probably right.. Just dealing with this I've had private conversations with people telling me they are sick of it as well.. I'm a big presence.. I'm going to give my view as I see unfold.. But the wise thing is to ignore and find my people.. And ignore the mods..if not by function but by..well, just ignore them!
