I had a 3500 for about a week in the late '90s. The fan sounded like a small jet engine was in the thing! With my hearing the way it is now I probably wouldn't have even heard it.

how do i connect my amp and cab

I loved my Hartke HA3500. The thing is built like a tank, sounds great and gets very LOUD while staying extremely clean. Had it for years with zero problems and finally passed it on to my son for Christmas this year along with a Avatar b410 cabinet. These amps have stood the test of time. IMHO the Hartke would keep up and even out perform some of the current 500 watt class D amps on the market today. I really enjoyed the tube pre, although I've read a lot of people prefer the SS. Horses for courses. Cheers!

Looks like the person put tape over the effects loop so they don’t try to plug cabs into it.
Just be sure to use a properly rated speaker cable, i.e. something designed to carry significant current, and not a regular shielded instrument cable. To help avoid mistakes I have, in the past, used orange 13A mains cable.
The other thing worth thinking about with regard to the ¼" connectors is to connect it all up before powering the amp up, and to power down before disconnecting. The reason is that some combinations of ¼" plugs and sockets may create momentary short circuits during insertion.
Modern SpeakOn connectors have pretty much mistake-proofed both aspects of the process.
