A long time ago, a very wise man once told me, "Now Greg, here's what you got to do. Fleet ownership. Pick one brand, what ever it is, for what ever reason, and stick with it".
Many years later, there is a ring of truth in that. Most big sound companies, buy a brand of whatever, and always use that as their flagship brand. EAW, Meyer, L-Acoustics, etc.. no matter what brand they picked, they usually go all in. That is until there is something new. Then the do it all over again.
Note to PA Co owners:
((I know I know, super big pa co's have multiple brands. But they still huge quantities of each, and keep them (mostly) together. They wouldn't send out a DB line array out with a JBL sub system for example. Usually.))
Now how that translates to the small PA owner, (us), it still makes sense. If you buy QSC tops, then you SHOULD be getting QSC everything (speakers/amps/mixers/etc.). And so on.
So for you, since you already have an investment in the yammys, it just makes sense to get more yammys. It doesn't make sense to get more gemini's, in this case. Its not the strong part of the system.
Good luck on your (now never ending PA procurement adventure) endeavors.
Oh, and BTW I know that having/moving/using/maintaining/etc PA is a pain in the ass. Clearly.
Don't have any answers for that, except throw money at it
