how do i set up my new half stack?

ok i know it probably sounds really stupid but i just got a new bass cab and head and i have no idea how to set it up since ive never done it before. the cab is a fender rumble 410 and the head is a peavey tour 450. i think you connect the bass to the "low gain" thingy in front of the head and run a speaker cable from one of the outputs behind the head labeled "speaker jacks paralleled" to the back of the cab where it is labeled "parallel outputs" but idk. im not getting any sound. any help would be appreciated. ps, the head also has a "aux in" thingy idk wt thats for. and also i have no idea where the volume knob on the head is, nothing is labeled volume, and does the cab require a power cable to? because it didn't come with one.

ok first off the cab wont need a power cable for starters. second, your speaker cable from the back of the head should go to an input as the cab recieves the signal from the head. the output is for adding another cab. so that should be the reason you are getting no sound out of it.

furthermore for the volume issue concerning knobs....gain and master is something else to look for. if you have either of those try em out. just dont crank em to start and also make sure your volume knobs on your bass are adjusted properly. for me i turn volume on bass all the way up and then adjust my volume on my head accordingly.

good luck and i hope that helps. sounds like you got a nice rig. hope you figure it out

First of all on you need a type of cable that is called a "Speakon to 1/4" cable for this to work. It should look have two different ends that look like this. Without that cable, you won't get any sound.
On the head plug into the strange looking plugs that say "OUTPUTS" they are NOT 1/4" (a.k.a. patch cable) outputs. They are called Speakon plugs. The other end of the cable, the end that looks like your instrument cable, goes into your cab

Question: Do you have internet access?

if so..download the manual. ;)

Okay, in the meantime..If i'm not mistaken, those are "combination speakon/1/4" jacks.
You should be able to plug a 1/4" speaker cable end right into the center of the "speaker out"- "speakon" jack.

Plug other end into speaker cabinet.

Rock.

But really, it woulda been faster to download the Manual.
(PS, I would still download the manual.)

The jacks you need to use are in the middle of the back of the head. They are the ones labeled "OUTPUTS Speaker Jacks Paralleled."

They appear to be Speakon jacks. This means that your cable might need to have a speakon connector at one end. However, they may be combination jacks. If this is the case, you should be able to connect your 1/4" speaker cable by plugging it into the middle hole in one of the jacks.

If you have succeeded in connecting the cable to one of these jacks, proceed to connect it to one of the inputs of the cab. It doesn't matter which one. You only need to connect one of the amp's jacks to one of the cab's jacks. It is not necessary, nor advisable, to connect both of the head's jacks to both of the cab's inputs.

If the 1/4" speaker cable won't go into the center hole of the output jack, it is not a combination jack and you will need a speaker cable with a speakon connector. May as well get one anyway, though.

Connecting the Aux In to the cab will not do anything. Many of the labels are fairly self explanatory. The Aux In is an input. Meaning that no signal comes out of it. The Cab does not need a power cable because all power is supplied to it from the amplifier head.

Also, as Bassdirty said, you should download the manual. Good thing to have.
